Curseaden of Milford has been elected to the Regional Water Authority, the five-member governing board of the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority, the non-profit organization that provides water to about 430,000 people in the greater New Haven region. City of Derby Sells East Derby Water Works to Aquarion Water Company
Aquarion Water Company purchased the East Derby Water Works from the City of Derby effective October 16, 2014. The South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority (RWA) has operated the system on behalf of the City since 2008 when the RWA acquired Birmingham Utilities and the City contract to provide water service to East Derby Water customers.

South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority To Transition To Monthly Billing
New Haven, CT. September 25, 2014 – The South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority (RWA) has taken the first steps to upgrade its meter reading system. This will enable customer water meters to be read through a radio network that will eventually allow the RWA to use the data collected to issue bills monthly, rather than at the current three-month intervals. This should make it easier for customers to budget for their water bill.
