The Representative Policy Board of the South Central Connecticut Regional Water District will hold public hearings to consider the sale of two parcels of non public water supply watershed land in Madison, CT:
(i) The Regional Water Authority's Application to sell 16+/- acres of unimproved Class III land located within Madison, Connecticut for the highest and best use conforming to any and all approvals that may be granted by Town of Madison regulatory agencies. The total purchase price for the site comprising of 16+/- acres shall not be less than $195,000. The land is located less than 1/2 mile east of the intersection of Summer Hill Road and route 80 (Old Toll Road). A request for approval of an amendment to the Regional Water Authority Land Use Plan is incorporated into the application. (ii) The Regional Water Authority's Application to sell 47+/- acres of unimproved Class III land located within Madison, Connecticut for the highest and best use conforming to any and all approvals that may be granted by Town of Madison regulatory agencies. The total purchase price for the site comprising of 47+/- acres shall not be less than $950,000. The land is located 1/4 mile north of the intersection of Summer Hill Road and Route 80 (Old Toll Road). A request for approval of an amendment to the Regional Water Authority Land Use Plan is incorporated into the application; and The hearings will be held beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Memorial Town Hall - Upper Level, 8 Meeting House Lane, Madison, Connecticut. The Public Hearings are being held pursuant to Section 10 and 18 of Special Act 77-98, as amended. The applications and accompanying information are available for public inspection between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the office of the Regional Water Authority, 90 Sargent Drive, New Haven, Connecticut. All users of the public water supply system, residents of the Regional Water District, owners of property served or to be served, and other interested persons shall have an opportunity to be heard concerning the matters under consideration.
