Register For CodeRED

If a drinking water emergency strikes your area, be prepared with a phone call, text or email from our emergency notification system, CodeRED. CodeRED is a web-based tool that enables us to notify you by telephone, text message, email and social media of time-sensitive information, emergencies or urgent notifications. The system can reach hundreds of thousands of people in minutes to ensure emergency notifications reach the intended recipient. Only authorized officials have access to send alerts using the CodeRED system.

The CodeRED telephone databases are listings that are publicly available. We encourage you to register cell phones or unlisted phone numbers to be notified in case of a water emergency and to be able to take advantage of text and email notifications. We also ask that you update your language preferences in CodeRED so that messages reach you in a language of your choice. Even if you live in a community that already uses CodeRED, we encourage you to enroll so you can get messages specific to your drinking water. It’s easy to register here. You can also register by texting "RWA" to "99411."

You can also download the CodeRED mobile app, which delivers free emergency notifications to our consumers and is also used by other communities throughout the United States and Canada for alerts. Travelers with the app can remain better informed and safe by receiving alerts from public safety officials who use CodeRED in those areas. Mobile devices must have location services turned on to receive CodeRED alerts during travel.
